Summary purpose of job
The Economist Group has enjoyed rapid growth over the past few years. The Latin America marketing department continues to grow to meet the challenges of our burgeoning conference and product based business.
Taking registrations for our events business, answering customer inquiries, processing payments, writing delegate confirmations, supporting marketing activities, etc.
Responsible for creating debriefs for assigned events
Conducting list/database research as well as specific telemarketing campaigns.
Oversee Government Roundtable / Summit creative marketing activities on a regional basis for Economist Conferences in the Americas
Oversee creative marketing activities on a regional basis for Enterprise and Sponsorship sales in Latin America - provide overall marketing collateral for enterprise products in the region, sponsored research and Economist Conferences
Provide back-up for all other events held in the Americas
Key accountabilities
Registration processing, confirmation and payment processing
Responding to delegate inquiries/concerns
Design and produce images, graphics and all creative services for our Enterprise and Conference business in Latin America for both print and online campaigns
Establish and implement strategies for customer acquisition, retention and win-back
Analyze post conference demographic information (Debriefs)
Update conferences contact management system, DBlogix
Analyzing efficiency of the respective marketing activities in qualitative and quantitative terms
Manage the events website and all web-based content
Customer service back up for all America's events
Interface with conference sponsors as requested
Support on other marketing related activities
Alignment of creative activities with sales strategy for the region - development of brand strategy for enterprise and sponsorship market development
Enhance marketing co-operation with other parts of The Economist Group

Skills and capabilities profile
Education & training
Bachelor's degree required
Previous work experience
At least 1-2 years experience working in a marketing environment at a dynamic organization.
Knowledge
Solid working knowledge of B to B marketing techniques
IT
Excellent Excel and Word skills required.
IDesign, QuarkXpress, Photoshop
Languages
Fluent in English and Spanish
Fluency in Portuguese desirable
